I know all about kids and CHD's. My son was diagnosed in Utero with Heart Block. Recieved a pacemake 24 hours after he was born. Rediagnosed with Long Q.T Syndrome and required a heart transplant. He received his second chance at St Louis Childrens Hospital on June 17th 2007. Having kids is a gift.. Regardless of how old you are when you become a parent! I had my daughter at 19. 10 years later I had my son.. Having a special needs child forces us to grow up 10 times faster. I was almost 30 when I had him.. Thought I was already a grown up.. Boy was I wrong.. You are never grown up until you are put in our shoes.. Having these kids puts everything in perspective.. dont you think?
